the real reason customers leave dealerships

According to a study by CAR-Research XRM the biggest reason customers said they left the dealership wasn’t because of time constraints or having to discuss with a decision maker, 27% said it was because of issues with the sales people or sales management at the dealership. Customer issues with the sales staff ranged from rude and disrespectful to sales staff not being knowledgable. The next highest reason for customer leaving a dealership was because they were shopping around at 20%,  followed by price at 12%.

Rise in Auto Sales in February

The Indian Auto Industry reports that the February auto sales have been the largest ever for the month breaking the January record.  They feel that consumers might have been rushing to buy a car due to the possible hike in the prices following the Budget.

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers says that the total sales of the domestic market is at 11,29,783 units and that is up 34.98 percent from a year ago.  The domestic passenger car section was the highest ever sales with 1,53,845 units which is up 33.2 percent from that month last year.  The automotive industry is thought to continue the uphill swing in the month of March as consumer are buying due to the price hike in April because of stricter emissions norms.
