Consumer Brand Perceptions of Auto Makers

Chevrolet, Ford, and Subaru have had an increase in brand perception among people. The Consumer Reports 2010 Car Brand Perception Survey stated that they all received at least a 30 point increase in their scores from last year. The brand perceptions were determined through these 7 categories: safety, quality, value, performance, design, technology, and environmentally friendly. Below shows the overall scores of the brands total perception across all seven categories.

2010 Overall Brand Perception

I think for every person brand perceptions are pretty different based on personal experience, marketing, news, and even purchasing factors. For me, I agree with Toyota being at the top of the list. I am a big fan of Toyota vehicles because I think of them as reliable and affordable. I think that Audi should be at the top of the brand perception list as well; I like Audi’s car designs and quality. What are your thoughts? Do you think this list is pretty accurate? Let me know!
