Black Friday in the Auto Industry

Black Friday is not only about shopping at department stores, it also includes for some people shopping for a vehicle at an auto dealership.  Today is a very big day for the auto industry to come out strong with reasonable prices on their inventory.  Truecar.com reports that car buyers tend to pay 4.7 percent less than msrp on an average day.  The discounts are expected to be about 7.5 percent off the vehicle’s sticker price today.  So I would like to wish all you dealerships a happy black Friday and go out and sell some cars!

Autocheck vs. Carfax the Battle Continues…

Experian’s Autocheck vehicle history reports are now including information that validates to the used car buyer that their vehicle was not a trade-in for the Cash for Clunkers program.  As you know, trade-in cars were supposed to be scrapped for the program and should not be sold.   There were almost 700,000 cars that were traded in and supposed to be destroyed per the program, so this information is crucial when buying a used car.  Autocheck  provides potential buyers with this Cash for Clunkers trade-in information so they know  the vehicle’s status and can feel confident in purchasing their vehicle.  The addition of the Cash for Clunkers information shows Autocheck’s continued investment in improving its product.

I think that this information is extremely valuable to the car buyer and is another win for Autocheck in the race to be the most well trusted vehicle history report provider to the industry.  What do you think?

2009 Tokyo Auto Show- Concept Cars

The new innovative concept cars are anything but boring. They not only look like they are products of the future, they undertake some of the biggest challenges like emissions and fuel economy. With that I give you the 2009 Tokyo Auto Show Concept Cars.

Out of all 4 of these concept cars my favorite is the Honda Skydeck Concept. This futuristic minivan has scissor doors that open upwards. I mean what an oxymoron that is, that a minivan has the same doors as a Lamborghini Murciélago. I think this car gives the typical mini driving mom a whole new ounce of flair. I personally wouldn’t purchase the car, but I think it is quite interesting.
